By purchasing an item from Sew Alpine, you are agreeing to the following policies:

Custom Orders

  • All Custom Orders begin with a deposit to cover the first stage of the planning and design process. This deposit is nonrefundable except in the case that Sew Alpine cannot take on the project from the beginning.

  • Once we determine the extent of the project, we will bill the customer for the remaining design, material and construction costs via email. Prompt payment ensures that your order won’t be delayed.

  • We work hard to bring your design to life! All custom orders include a reasonable amount of email communication in the cost of the order. We’re also happy to schedule phone or video calls or meet in person if possible. This additional time and expertise is billed at $30/hour. 

  • Some custom designs require ordering custom materials. Sew Alpine has no control over and is not responsible for delays due to shipping custom materials from our vendors.

  • Once your order is complete, we will ship it as soon as possible to ensure it gets to you lightning quick! If however, you would prefer we send you a photo(s) before shipping, please clearly request this in your email communication with us BEFORE we begin your order. We will then send you the requested photos and wait for your email approval before shipping. Email us at sewalpine@gmail.com

  • Once an order is complete, it is nonrefundable. We’re a very small business and we need to be compensated for our time and materials. If you would like to make a change to your order once it is completed, we’re happy to do so! Changes are billed at $30/hour.

  • While we may have some incredible sewing powers, we are in fact humans and not robots. Each item is hand crafted and there may be slight variations between items. That’s part of what makes our work unique and awesome! 

  • Occasionally, we do make mistakes. If you find that anything does not fit or that we missed a certain dimension, please let us know right away. We want to make it right! And it helps us learn and keep honing our craft. Please remember that we are a very tiny business and please be kind in your communication. We love going the extra mile for folks who are compassionate and understanding. We don’t have time or capacity for rude or threatening communication or harassment.

  • If you need to ship an item back to us for any reason, unfortunately we are unable to pay for return shipping in most cases. However, we will do everything we can to ensure you are satisfied with your order.

  • Sew Alpine reserves the right to decline orders for any reason. We are really good at what we do and we’re not experts in everything. If we’re not the right fit for your project, we will try to recommend another craftsperson or shop who may be able to help.


Warranty

  • We stand behind our work! We will repair or replace for free all Sew Alpine items that are damaged for reasons other than normal wear and tear or freak accidents/ “acts of god” for the lifetime of the item. Email sewalpine@gmail.com for warranty claims.

  • We will also repair or replace items at a discounted rate that are damaged from normal wear and tear or freak accidents/ “acts of god”.

  • Please let us know if anything breaks on your gear. It helps us continue to refine and redesign. 

  • Customers must return the damaged item to Sew Alpine for our inspection in order to receive a warranty repair or replacement. We reserve the right to determine whether an item falls under warranty.

  • Customers are responsible for shipping to and from Sew Alpine.

  • The whole point of our warranty is to minimize waste and gather helpful information about how to make the best products possible.


Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

  • We are a tiny operation and determined not to be an Amazon. As such, we are not able to offer the same return or exchange service as a large warehouse operation. 

  • In some cases, we may be able to offer returns and exchanges on specific items. Please email sewalpine@gmail.com for help with this. 

  • Customers are responsible for all shipping costs and transaction fees associated with a return, exchange, or refund.

  • Refunds will be made to the same payment method used for purchase. If for some reason this is not possible, we will email you to let you know.


Shipping

  • All items ship USPS Priority mail and include tracking and $50 of insurance. 

  • Sew Alpine is not responsible for items lost or stolen in transit.

  • If you would like to purchase additional insurance through USPS, please include this in your order notes. We will follow up via email for payment for the additional cost.

  • If you would prefer a different shipping method, please email us at sewalpine@gmail.com BEFORE placing your order.

  • We may be able to ship to some countries outside of the United States. Please email us with inquiries at sewalpine@gmail.com. Sew Alpine is not responsible for international customs fees.

  • Sew Alpine is not responsible for carrier shipping delays.

  • We do our best to reuse, repurpose, and upcycle shipping materials in order to minimize our impact on the planet.
